fill in flash is to elimate shadows that are not wanted in your picture.It is as known as the mandortary flash. You would use fill in flash to bring light in to the area of you photo that would have un wanted shade.
There is only one photo that shows fill in flash. The others are what happens when you don't use fillin flash not able to see you subject and it becomes a waste of a picture
