The scream interpretation

Why is this man screaming? He has just notice that there is something in the lake, but it is something he has never seen before. The thing that he just notices is coming out of the lake and appearing to be a person. That person is coming his direction and there is nowhere to run and hide. This person is walking slowly and he seems to be pretty old. When the person is right in his face he realized it is his dead mother who had pasted away. Instead of running he is standing there waiting to see her face. To his surprise he finds out that it was a man with a missing eye.

Craetive Me

This project was an opportunity for us to put the tools we have learned to use. We were to take one of our portraits, and change it creatively using the following: selection tools, layers, adjustment layers, layer styles, blending options, paint brushes and opacity.

I like that it looks like i am trying to get away from green stuff on the ground.

I used the magic wand the most because it made it easier to paint.

I wouldn't say i am a pro but i am getting there.

Of all of the picture i have taken this is my favorite because you can feel the emotion in the picture.

Adjustment layers

In this exercise we learned about Adjustment layers. Adjustment layers allow you to add adjustments to your image on separate layers instead of directly to the image itself. This comes in handy during long complicated projects. In Photoshop every tool is specifically designed to help improve your photo. However, here we took some artistic liberties and explored adjustments creatively.

Self portrait

For our Self-Portrait project we were to take three self-portraits. They were all to be in black and white, and they were all to capture a mood of some sort. We were also challenged to be as artistic as possible, and stay as far away from normal, cliche portraits that we see on personal pages etc. as possible.One had to use the rule of thirds as the base for the composition; One had to incorporate leading lines, and one had to be taken from a more extreme angle.
I enjoyed doing self-portrait project.I was able to add thing that i love to do and call them art.When i was able to find the right light like my Rule of third picture i made it work.Also for my leading line picture i was able to use the shadow and make it my leading line.My favorite out of the three self-portrait that i have taken, would have to be my extreme angle because i put something i love to do in it.If i could change something about my portraits it would be to show more expression in my face.But outcome of all of them are indescribable.

Contant Sheet

I think that my contact sheet turned out better than I thought it would be.The way that I arrange the picture makes the ones that i could have did better stand out, and still look like the ones that truned out good.If i was able to take my time on some pictures it would have turnned out better.

The one hat stands out more to me, is the one of my partner.

I enjoyed doing the extreme angles because in black and white it stands out much more than color.

Compostional trick # 5: Cropping

Cropping is a trick that photographers do all the time, even if they don't realize it. Every time a photographer chooses to cut something out of his/her frame, before they snap the photo, that is in essence cropping. We also have learned tools on Photoshop that allow us to crop an image after we have taken it. When cropping in Photoshop it is possible to improve our composition or change it completely.

When i cropped my picture it zoomed in and the background stands out more, than my emhpasis did.

You could use crop to edit out thing in your picture that you don't want.And you can use crop to make your picture small and zoom in to one part that you want to stand out.

compositional Trick # 4: Extreme Angles

I had to take a picture of my classmate Danielle.I got down close to the ground and turned to the left just a little and took the picture.
I like this picture because when you look at it you feel the emotion that she is feeling too.
I think that it would have better if I had lade on the ground and took my time taking the picture. I think when u take the picture from an extreme angle enhance the picture. You will use extreme angle trick to bring out your emphasis.

compositional Trick # 3 : macro

When you use Marco it shows details in your photo.Sometimes it ever make the back round fade out.Which means that your emphasis stands out.

Depth of field is when u can see the back round of a picture , when it is far away.A deep depth of field is when you could barley see your back round because it fades out of the picture.

I think that it is best to use Marco when you want your emphasis to stand out on your picture.Because it will give outstanding details and you could appreciate it more.

I like my flower Marco the best because it catches your eyes and it has orange and pink that are pretty together.Then you could see all the details in the flower that you wouldn't notice if you have just walked passed it.

compositional Trick # 2 : Leading Lines

Leading lines are use to direct you to yor emphasis.In a picture It could be a path was to your emphasis.Or it could just be a path way to something that never ends.

In my picture i have a lot of leanding line.But they all time you to the one spot.I like this picture because the lines all connect at the end where the emphasis .

Compostional Trick #1 Rule of third

The rule of third is when you use a grid line that help you arrange you subject.By not putting it in the middle. It helps your emphasis stand out of your picture.I used the rule of third in my picture to make the school mascot stand out.I sainted the camera to get the school mascot to appear to in the top left grid.But if i would have took my time to arrange this picture would be alot better.But maybe taking the sky out and lose the trees , it would have made the school mascot stand out a lot more.But over all it is a good picture because people don't take the time out to look at the little things on the side of the school.
